The Company

Communication Power Corporation (CPC, founded in 1994) is dedicated to providing world class amplifier technology to the NMR, MRI, accelerator and industrial heating markets. Our products are designed to provide the best performance for each customer whether the end user application is OEM , clinical, research institution or industrial/analytical. To achieve this, we have initiated policies and procedures that meet and exceed customer requirements as well as those necessary to ensure quality and reliability in accordance with ISO-9001-2008 certification. Product Capabilities

CPC designs and manufactures RF amplifiers that incorporate the latest advances in RF, analog and digital technology. Our modular amplifier stages utilize a variety of device technologies, the logic/control networks employ CPLD ( Complex Programmable Logic Devices) and high speed microprocessors. The modular design approach allows for outstanding performance and low cost. This system architecture also lends itself to a design flexibility that enables CPC to easily and quickly provide custom designs for new requirements.

Facilities:

CPC's facility is located in Hauppauge, New York. All administrative, engineering, semi-automated production and ISO Quality Control groups are housed in one facility. All processes critical to superior electrical performance and expedited delivery are controlled on site. CPC expects to be ISO 14001/RoHs compliant by 2011.

Operations:

CPC assembles its systems, subassemblies and modules per IPC-A-610 Revision D. Subassemblies are tested and prequalified at a module level prior to system integration. Complete systems are then aligned and tested to meet specification. CPC's system test bays employ the best test equipment available including the Hewlett Packard (Agilent) HP 8753E Series Vector Network Analyzers, 8592A Spectrum Analyzers and Tektronix TDS 3054 Digital Phosphor Oscilloscopes. Once systems are specification compliant, they are subjected to a 24-48 hour operational burn-in at full power. In addition, CPC is currently implementing a HALT/HASS program to ensure more reliable designs and manufacturing processes.

Engineering:

CPC's engineering staff comprises approximately 25% of total personnel. Areas of engineering expertise include linear amplifiers, directional couplers, combinatorial/sequential logic, analog/digital signal processing, microprocessor interface, electromechanical packaging and thermal modeling. CPC's engineering team has several US patents and have published technical papers and books frequently on topics related to RF power amplifiers. In addition to internal capabilities, CPC has strong professional affiliations with Green Mountain Radio Research (world renown R&D facility for high efficiency power amplifiers) and the staff at Polytechnic University (famous for their ground breaking work with microwave theory and broadband network synthesis).

In summary, CPC has the most technical firepower of any amplifier manufacturer, bringing the latest advancements in RF power amplifier technology to NMR, MRI, and particle accelerator applications.
